I'd love to put up Larry's Celtics up against a modern NBA team. The Celtics would destroy them! All players do in today's NBA is hang outside the 3 point stripe and heave shots. There's little to no inside game, and there's absolutely no defense today. Dribbling is optional in the past number of years. Players take at least 4 to 5 steps on a layup. When's the last time traveling was called in the NBA? The game is a joke.

I was always a Magic fan, strangely enough. White kid from small town Tennessee being a Magic fan. I emulated every part of his game. And I hated Larry Legend! After years of reflection and opening my eyes past my own prejudice for Magic and the Lakers. It has occurred to me that Larry Bird might just have been the best all around player in the history of the league. If not the greatest he is certainly in the conversation. Much Respect Mr. Bird!

I’m 70 and I loved watching Larry Legend play. I can spend hours watching clips of him. He was so respected by his teammates and his opponents. To this day they talk about his trash talking.
